The vision the Lord gave in early 2007 was to pioneer something in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice that would change it from the inside out; to facilitate His plan to raise up an army of men and women who would understand true intimacy with Him and be so fully persuaded of His overwhelming love and power in their lives that they would literally began to establish change that transforms the prison system from a negative cycle of defeat and repeat offending to powerful overcoming and sustained revival.

We started our first session in September of 2007 using a self authored study I’ve developed called Unlocking the Kingdom Within.  The inmates are learning the to understand how and why God speaks through dreams and visions, prayer and meditation on His word; how to embrace His divine love and purpose for their lives, understanding that their purpose did not stop the day they entered incarceration; they are learning the art of “being” rather than “doing”, understanding that who they are becoming is the foundation and focus for anything they will ever do.  True Kingdom is being established inside of them replacing old religious structures as they see, some of them for the first time, that it’s not about works, rules and regulations, it’s about the freedom of knowing they are loved with an everlasting love and are free to love with n unbridled passion the One who desires to be the object of their affection! 

We’ve seen Holy Spirit move in spontaneous baptisms in the Holy Spirit during worship and also with open visions and some being taken up into the throne room.  Many who said they “don’t dream or see visions” are now experiencing them on a regular basis and those who have had supernatural occurrences, but we’re afraid to talk about it because they either didn’t understand it or were afraid of religious mindsets rejecting them, are finding the freedom to express what they’ve seen and heard and learn to understand it in a safe environment.

Dewald Viljoen leading worship; Dewald has been several times with us to Ramsey and the guys were so blessed and always look forward to his coming back.  Spontaneous prophetic worship is rare outside the prison, much less in a naturally and spiritually legalistic setting inside, but when the inmates have the opportunity they embrace the freedom and life it brings to their worship experience.
